The position of the Mineral County Superintendent of Schools is a combined position with the Mineral County Treasurer and is elected by the public for a four year term.
The Superintendent of Schools has general supervision of the public schools of Mineral County. This includes financial concerns, school budgets and levies, transportation, tuition, centralized clerical and administrative functions, submission of annual financial reports, and the overseeing of families registered for homeschooling.
