About

The Missoula Iris Society exists for many reasons. We get together on the first Saturday of each month and visit, visit, visit and then eat, eat, eat and have our meeting and then get back to visiting and eating and just have fun with each other. Each member brings fabulous morsels of food to share with the group and the array is beyond any buffet you could imagine. We do a lot of very beneficial cultural and educational programs for our community. We donate all our time and efforts to the stimulation of the Iris flower. We have several annual projects: flower show, ice cream social and our Missoula Display Gardens at the Historical Museum at For Missoula (our showpiece). There you can find thousands of Iris, thousands of colors, and a full history of the Iris with rhizomes dating back over 50 years. If you decide to become a member, bring your knife & fork and shovel (of course), have fun, and get your hands dirty!
