The Quartz Flats Rest Areas are reopening May 23! The Montana Department of Transportation, TD&H Engineering, Jacobs Engineering Group, and Dick Anderson Construction would like to thank Mineral County residents, the U.S. Forest Service, and the travelling public for your patience while we improved the rest areas. The rest areas will be reopened on Monday, May 23, and a ribbon cutting event will be held on-site at 4:30 p.m. MDTX The improved facilities and wastewater system will reduce maintenance costs, provide better lighting and safety features, increase parking, and prevent wear and tear for many years to come.
