REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES The TOWN OF PLAINS in Sanders County, Montana is soliciting proposals from engineering firms to assist the Town in design and construction for relocating a wastewater treatment lagoon. The selected engineering firm will help guide the Town in selection of the most advantageous lagoon configuration and technology that meets the Town's long term needs and goals. Basis for the design can be found in the 2020 Updated Preliminary Engineering Report (PER). All design work will be in accordance with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, Montana Public Works, and the Environmental Protection Agency. The Town has received or may receive funding from the Treasure State Endowment Program, Community Development Block Grant, Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation RRGL program, and US Army Corps of Engineers, FEMA, and Rural Development, USDA. The selected engineer must be familiar with these agencies and their requirements.Time is of the essence and is of great concern to the Town. Construction of the lagoon facility is anticipated to be complete by spring runoff 2021. For the full RFP contact Shari Johnson, Town Engineer, 406-261-3019, Engineering@SAJmontana.com.
