Mineral Community Hospital Job Opportunity Full-Time Director of Nursing The Director of Nursing (DON) serves with the entire MCH Family of Care Givers in providing excellent care to our patients The DON is a key member of the Mineral Community Hospital Leadership Team. The DON provides Leadership with the Administrative Team on hospital Clinical Care and quality, teamwork, management, operations, budget and strategic planning decisions The DON reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) The DON is an integral member of the patient care team, responsible for the clinical direction of the nurses employed in the medical/surgical, emergency, surgical, pharma- cy, respiratory therapy, and intermediate and skilled swing bed departments. The DON serves as the nurse clinical expert role model and resource to the nursing team. RESPONSIBILITIES Assures Patient Care and Quality as REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's level degree in nursing or comparable experience Current Montana Registered Nurse Licensure number 1 priority at MCH Collaborate with providers and other disciplines to supervise patient care, Strong leadership ability Five Years Nursing Experience Required Coaching, mentoring and skills neces- sary to encourage MCH Team Members resources and services Maintain current knowledge in care services and an awareness of current literature and research in nursing care Establish and maintain standards and policies and procedures that reflect facility philosophy needed to effectively manage the department, as well as current regulations Hire, train and supervise nursing staff.
