NOTICE OF JOB OPENING The Mineral County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for a DETENTION OFFICER. The Position will be full-time (40hrs/wk) which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants must be at least eighteen years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Reliability, punctuality, the ability to work with minimal supervision and a strict adherence to confidentiality standards is preferred. Must be willing to be fingerprinted as part of a thorough background/criminal history check and will be required to satisfactorily complete basic training at Montana Law Enforcement Academy and on the job training. Also, the ability to display good work- ing relationship with co-workers, the public and other agencies is essential. Starting pay is $12.57 per hour with pay increase after the completion of a six-month probationary period and at one year. Benefits include health insurance, paid vacation, uniform allowance, shift differential and retirement.
