New Rate of Pay with these County Openings $16.30 per hour DEPARTMENT: Sheriff's Office POSITIONS: Detention and Dispatch Summary of work: Detention- Provide for prisoner needs, safety, and security Dispatch- 911 Operator for Mineral County Hours: Must be willing to work any and all shifts, which may vary as necessary, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays Both positions have on the job training, but experience is a plus Starting pay: $16.30 per hour with paid health insurance, dental and life insurance, retirement, sick and annual leave Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and posses a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to remain calm in stressful situations, have good hearing, work with minimal supervision, and possess certain other characteristics as mentioned in the position description(s). Applicants must be willing to be fingerprinted as part of the thorough background/criminal history check, and will be required to satisfactorily complete on the job training at Montana Law Enforcement Academy.
