About
My name is Carl Marquardt.
Sanders County has been my home since 1994 and I am a
Thompson Falls High School graduate. Upon graduating in 1996,
I enlisted in the United States Air Force where I served for 21
years. I have been married for 22 years to my wife, Karen (Melnrick), who grew up in Trout Creek and graduated from Thompson
Falls High School as well. We have three children, two of which
are in college and one who is a sophomore at Thompson Falls
High School.
Upon retiring from the Air Force in 2017, my family and I moved
back home to Sanders County. Currently I am employed as a court
clerk for the Sanders County Justice Court. During the past three
years working as a court clerk, I have found a great interest in the
justice system. This interest prompted me to go back to school
and obtain another bachelor’s degree, one in criminal justice. My
interest in the justice system hasn’t stopped there, my next goal is
to complete a master’s in criminal justice.
I have a great passion to serve others and would be honored
to serve this community as the Justice of the Peace. Given the
opportunity coupled with my leadership abilities, education, and
experience in the daily operation of the court system, I feel I am
a great candidate for the position of judge. One that will provide
justice from the bench based on integrity, equality, consistency,
and impartiality. I would greatly appreciate your support and vote.
