195895 PROPOSED BUDGET AMENDMENT RESOLUTION HOT SPRINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT SANDERS COUNTY At a regular school board meeting of the board of trustees of School District No. 14J, Sanders County, Montana, held October 23, 2024, at 7:00 pm at the Hot Springs School Library, the following resolu- tion was introduced: WHEREAS, the trustees of School District No. 14J, Sanders County, Montana, have made a determi- nation that as a result of the special election on the school levy proposition, the district's budget for the general fund does not provide sufficient financing to properly maintain and support the district for the entire current school year; and WHEREAS, the trustees have determined that an amendment to the high school general fund budget in the amount of $183,000 is necessary under the provisions of Section 20-9-161 (b), MCA; for the purpose of general operation and maintenance of the general fund and WHEREAS, the anticipated source of financing the budget amendment expenditures shall be the over- base levy approved by the taxpayers of the district on October 2, 2024. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of School District No. 14J, Sanders, Coun- ty, Montana, proclaims a need for an amendment to the high school general fund budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 in the amount of $183,000 under Section 20-9-161 (b), MCA, for the purpose identified above.
