PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Mission Valley power (MVP) is experiencing increases in power rates charged by its electric power providers. As a Federally owned utllity, MVP is subject to 25 CFR 175 (Power rates), which provides guidance on how rates charged by its power providers should be passed through to customers. Due to increases in the costs that MVP must pay to procure power, and further influenced by current and expected market prices through the remainder of MVP's fiscal year (which ends September 2023), it is neces- sary for MVP to pass through a .01072 increase in the electricity charge component that is charged to our customers and reflected in customers' bills, for all rate classes, effective in bills dated starting in November 2022. Given uncertainties in the volatile power markets, and as a Nonprofit utility, MVP will review at fiscal year-end the rates charged by MVP power market providers to determine if MVP pass through consumer rates had been to too high or low during the year. Any justified pass-through rate adjustments would be made at that time. MVP still maintains some of the lowest electricity rates in the state of Montana.
