MINERAL COUNTY RESOURCE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SEEKING PROJECT PROPOSALS The Mineral County Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) will be accepting project proposals until January 24, 2020. Project proposals will be considered for funding under Title II of the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act (SRS). Projects considered by the Mineral County RAC must provide benefit to National Forest System lands and ecosystems within Mineral County. Mineral County RAC has a total of $137,263 for funding projects. At least 50 percent of all Title II funds must be used for projects that are primarily dedicated to road maintenance, decommissioning, or obliteration; or restoration of streams and watersheds. Projects that are eligible for RAC funding need to: Improve the maintenance of existing infrastructure. Implement stewardship objectives that enhance forest ecosystems. Restore and improve land health and water quality. Protect, restore and enhance fish and wildlife habitat.
